Both are 6061-T6 aluminum with the same T-slot accessory channel and 1000 lb static load. The difference is deck area and profile.

• Full Platform — flat deck from front to back. Ideal for RTTs, awnings, traction boards, recovery gear, and overland expeditions.
• Slimline — low-profile rails. Lower wind noise, less drag, better MPG impact. Ideal for kayaks, bikes, and daily drivers.

Rooftop tent owners should almost always pick the full platform for the mounting footprint.

Static load: 1000 lb. Dynamic (driving) load: 600 lb. Static is what matters for sleeping in a rooftop tent — the rack is well within spec for a two-person RTT plus occupants. Dynamic is what you carry at highway speed.

Always check your vehicle's own roof load rating — the rack is only one link in the chain. For most supported vehicles the factory roof is rated well above the dynamic load of any gear you'd drive with.
