Installation & Support

Everything you need to know before you buy

Is this rack really universal?

Yes — one rack fits most full-size and mid-size trucks including Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, RAM 1500, Toyota Tacoma & Tundra, Nissan Titan & Frontier, and Jeep Gladiator. Works on 5 ft, 5.5 ft, 6 ft, 6.5 ft, and 8 ft beds — the crossbars adjust lengthwise, and the uprights clamp to your factory bed rails.

If your truck has a factory bed rail or stake pocket, this rack fits. If you run a specialty bed (flatbed, dump insert), email us before ordering.

How long does installation take?

Most installs run 30–60 minutes solo with basic hand tools.

  • Clamps to the factory bed rails — no drilling required
  • Stainless hardware kitted and pre-sorted in the box
  • Illustrated instructions + downloadable PDF on every product page
  • Height adjustment is a simple bolt swap — reconfigure any time
Low Profile or Overland — which should I pick?

Same rack family, different heights. Both are 6061-T6 aluminum with up to 800 lb static load (depending on configuration).

  • Low Profile (~10" off rail) — sits below the cab line. Quieter, less drag, easier to load. Ideal for daily drivers, kayaks, bikes, lumber, and long loads.
  • Overland Height — clears the cab roof. Required for rooftop tent mounting and awning deployment. Ideal for overland builds and expedition setups.

If you want a rooftop tent, pick Overland. Otherwise Low Profile is the better daily driver.

Load ratings & rooftop tent compatibility

Static load: 500–800 lb. Dynamic (driving) load: 300–500 lb. Range depends on rack configuration (low-profile vs overland height). Static is what you carry when parked — well within spec for a two-person rooftop tent plus sleepers. Dynamic is what you carry at highway speed.

All T-slot crossbars are compatible with common RTT mounting kits from iKamper, Roofnest, Smittybilt, Thule, and Yakima.
