Shipping & Delivery
1. How much is shipping?
Free LTL freight to the continental 48 states on every order. Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. territories need a separate quote — email info@tkmauto.com with your zip code.
2. How long until it ships?
Most bed caps ship within about a week. A few models — F-150, RAM 1500, Tundra 5.5ft and Jeep Gladiator — are running 2–3 weeks right now. Orders are built and shipped in the order they come in.
3. How does freight delivery work?
Bed caps and racks move by LTL freight, not parcel. The carrier calls to schedule a delivery window, and the truck brings the crate to the curb. Plan on two people to move it from the curb.
4. What if it arrives damaged?
Write the damage on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves, photograph it, and email info@tkmauto.com within 24 hours. If the cap has come off the pallet and is badly damaged, photograph it and refuse the delivery — do not sign. Damage you only find after uncrating counts the same way — email us within 24 hours of delivery. That paper trail is what makes the freight claim work.
Fitment & Install
1. How do I know it fits my truck?
Every cap and rack is cut for one platform — we do not sell universal brackets. Use the fitment table on the Truck Bed Cap page to find your year, bed length and panel type. If your exact year is not listed, email info@tkmauto.com before ordering.
2. Do I need to drill anything?
Bed caps bolt to the factory bed rails, no drilling. Roof racks mount to factory points except for four models: RAV4 2019-2026, Tundra 2022-2026 and Tacoma 1996-2004 require drilling, and the full-length 4Runner 2010-2024 rack can go either way. Every product page states which.
3. How long does installation take?
About 1–2 hours for a bed cap with two people and basic hand tools. Roof racks are quicker. Video and PDF guides are on the Installation Guides page.
4. How much weight will the roof hold?
850 lb static (parked) and 450 lb dynamic (driving). Rooftop tents usually need crossbars to spread the load — check your tent's mounting requirements and keep tent plus sleepers under the dynamic rating.
Payment, Warranty & Returns
1. What payment methods do you take?
Credit card, Shop Pay, PayPal, Google Pay and Venmo. Shop Pay Installments is available on orders from $50 to $17,500.
2. What does the warranty cover?
Manufacturing defects are covered for three years from delivery — we supply the replacement part at no charge. Glass, gaskets, locks and gas struts are wear components; we keep them in stock and supply them at cost for as long as we build the model.
3. Can I return it?
See our Refund Policy for the current return window and conditions. Freight-shipped items need to go back in the original crate, so keep the packaging until you are sure the fit is right.
4. Do you sell through dealers?
No. TKMAUTO is factory-direct from our California warehouse — that is why the price has no dealer margin in it. Questions before you buy go to info@tkmauto.com.
