Prepare Frame Mounting Points
Clean frame rails where new bumper will mount. Remove any rust or debris.
Test fit brackets: Position mounting brackets on frame rails to verify alignment before final installation.
Install Mounting Brackets
Attach mounting brackets to frame rails using provided hardware. Hand-tighten bolts only at this stage.
Alignment is critical: Ensure brackets are level and properly positioned before tightening.
Position Bumper
With your helper, lift bumper and align with mounting brackets. Bumper weighs approximately 120 lbs - use proper lifting technique.
Center bumper: Equal spacing on driver and passenger sides. Check alignment from multiple angles.
Secure and Torque
Attach bumper to mounting brackets. Tighten all bolts in cross pattern.
Torque to specification: Follow manufacturer torque specs (typically 75-90 ft-lbs for frame bolts).
Install Accessories (Optional)
Winch installation: If installing winch, mount to bumper winch plate before final tightening.
D-rings: Install D-ring shackles in provided mounting points.
Lights: Mount LED light bar or fog lights if equipped. Route wiring carefully and secure.
